Connector aims to connect people using the most neglected yet most powerful data we all have – phonebook contacts. We aim to connect all our users in a way that helps them professionally and socially and also helps them in being more successful and productive. We understand the importance of an individual’s privacy and hence would like to be transparent about the data we collect, how it is used and with whom it is shared.

This Privacy Policy applies when you use our Services (mentioned below). We give users the freedom to choose the data we could collect through Settings.

Introduction

Connector is a networking app that uses phonebook contacts to connect people. In a way it’s a search engine of phonebook contacts. People use our services to discover and to get discovered. Features of connector makes it potent enough to be used for professional reasons, for sell/rent and for matrimonial searches. Connector also gives its users the power of publishing their product, services, and offerings etc. to up till 3 level of their phonebook contacts, instantly. Our Privacy Policy applies to any and every member or visitor to our services.

Services

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of our services.
This Privacy Policy applies to Connector app, other Connector-related site, communications and services (“Services”), including off-site Services, such as our ad services.

Change

Changes to the Privacy Policy apply to your use of our Services after the effective date.

Connector can modify this Privacy Policy, and if we make material changes to it, we will provide notice through our services, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. If you object to any changes, you may deactivate your account.

You acknowledge that your continued use of our services after we publish or send a notice about our changes to this Privacy Policy means that the collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject to the updated Privacy Policy.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Data You Provide To Us

You provide data to create an account with us.

Registration
To register you need to provide data like your name, mobile number, email address and a password. If you want to publish your details for a Services or Rent/Sell or Matrimony, you will need to provide payment (e.g., credit card) and billing information.

You create your Connector profile (a complete profile helps you get the most from our Services).

Profile
You have choices about the information on your profile, such as your education, work experience, skills, photo, city or area. You don’t have to provide additional information on your profile; however, profile information helps you to get more from our services, including helping people find your business and skills to turn into opportunities. It’s your choice whether to include sensitive information on your profile and to make that sensitive information public. Please do not post or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available.
You give other data to us, such as by syncing your address book, and contacts.

Posting and Uploading
We collect personal data from you when you provide, post or upload it to our services, such as when you fill out a form, (e.g., with demographic data or skills), respond to a survey, or submit a Profile, enter your blood group, Rent/Sell and matrimony information. If you opt to import your address book, we receive your contacts (including contact information your service provider(s) or app automatically added to your address book when you communicated with addresses or numbers not already in your list.

If you sync your contacts with our services, we will collect your phonebook contacts to your network growing.

Posting or uploading your personal and sensitive data is not at all mandatory; though it restricts your ability to grow your network and limits the benefits you can gain from services provided by Connector.

1.2 Data From Others

Content and Publications
Others may like your profile, post or write about you (as part of, likes, posts, comments etc.) on Connector app. Unless you opt-out, we collect public information about you, such as profile data, posts, publications etc. and make it available as part of our services

Phonebook Contact Information
We receive your personal data (which includes contact information) and through your contacts we determine the second and third level of your contacts. Same logic is used to search using all fellow users’ contacts. We use all the information to perform search and provide search results.

1.3 Use of Service

We log usage data when you visit or use our services, including our website and publications, such as when you view or click on others profile, when you perform a search, send or receive invites. We use technology driven utilities to identify you and log your use.

1.4 Device and Location

Data is received from your devices and networks, which also includes your location data. Using Connector from mobile devices enables us to get information of your location from your device; though this information is subject to your phone settings. We ask for your permission before we use GPS or other utility tools to determine your precise location.

1.5 Messages

We gather information about you when you send and/or receive messages through our app.
For e.g. If you get an invitation request, we keep a track on whether or not you have responded to it.

1.6 Changes and intimation

We continuously improve our services and in the process we get new data and we create new ways to use data. For our new features we need to collect new information. If we collect new personal data or change how we use your data, we will notify you and also may modify our Privacy Policy.

2. The way we use your data

We use your data to provide, support, personalize and develop our Services.
Usage of your data depends on the services you use, the way you use them and the way you set your settings. Your data is used to provide a personalised user experience.

2.1 Services

Connector provides services that help you connect with others, discover others for your needs and get discovered for other users’ needs. By enlarge it helps you find people, products, services etc. and lets you find the same among interconnected people. Your data is used to authorize access to our services.

Get Connected
Connector enables you to connect with up to three level of your phonebook contacts, stay in touch with them for personal, social or professional reasons. To do so, you connect with people you choose and who also wish to connect with you. Based on the settings you choose, you will be able to search others’ in order to find people, products, services etc. you need.
Connector uses your data to help others find you and enable you to invite others to connect.

You can also choose to allow us to use your location information which helps is users’ knowing each other’s proximity which in certain cases can be helpful.
Inviting others to join Connector or sending a connection request or accepting other users’ invitation to connect is totally your choice. Notification is sent when a user invites another user. Information of the invitee like name, photo, contact information etc. is visible to the one invited. When you invite someone to connect with you, your invitation will include your name, photo, connections and contact information. We will send invitation reminders to the person you invited.
You can choose whether or not you wish to be visible to second and third level of connections.

Stay updated
Connector keeps you informed about the change in profile made by your first level of connection, believing it may help users. We use the data we collect to personalize your feed content to help you attain what you set out to attain on Connector.

Career
Connector uses your data to enable you to showcase your profile to others and also lets you publish what you want others to know. Primary and Secondary skills in your profile may help others find you and hence could help you with your career.
Keeping your profile accurate and up-to-date may help you better connect to others and to opportunities through our Connector.

Productivity
Connector allows you to connect and collaborate with potential clients, potential job providers and other people to do business with. It also gives you a platform to sell/rent your product and services and hence helps you become more productive.

2.2 Publish Feature

Our publish feature allows you to publish any product, service etc. to people in your connection list. Subject to settings and filter used, Connector helps you to hit your target market. We use data to filter and send your publications to people most relevant for your publication.

2.3 Communications

We communicate with you and enable communications between users. We provide settings for you to control what level of contacts can contact you.
We communicate through email, text messages, notifications, notices posted on our websites or app etc. We will send you messages about the availability of our Services, security, or other service-related issues. We also enable communications between you and others through our services, including invitations, Mail, groups and messages between connections.

2.4 Marketing

We use data and content about users for invitations and communications promoting membership and network growth, engagement and our product and services.

2.5 Developing Services and Research

We develop our Services and conduct research.

Service Development
We use data and feedback to conduct research and development for the further improvisation of our services, in order to provide users with a better and enhanced experience, drive membership growth and engagement on our services.

Other Research
We use the personal data available with us to research social, economic and workplace trends such as jobs availability and skills needed, requirements in sell/rent and matrimony sections.

2.6 Customer Support

We use data (which can include your communications) to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and Service issues (e.g., bugs).

2.7 Accumulated Insights

We use your data to produce and share accumulated to generate statistics about our members, their profession or industry, to calculate ad impressions served or clicked on, or to publish visitor demographics for a service or demographic workforce insights.

2.8 Security and Investigations

We use your data (including your communications) if we think it’s necessary for security purposes or to investigate possible fraud or other violations of our User Agreement or this Privacy Policy and/or attempts to harm our Members or Visitors.

3. Sharing of Information

3.1 Our Services

Profile
Subject to your settings, your profile is fully visible to all members and customers of our services.

Profile post, Likes, Messages, Calls, Publish
Our services allow viewing and sharing information including through profile posts, likes, messages, calls and publish.

  • When you join Connector, update and/or change your profile, users in your primary connection list will be notified about it and will be able to view it. Subject to settings used, users in secondary and tertiary connections can also view your profile and other details.
  • A user is the only one who can control who can see his profile. A user cannot control visibility of others in his/her phonebook contact.
  • We let senders know when you act on their message.
  • When you like another’s profile, others will come to know about your action.

3.2 Sharing with affiliates

We will share your personal data with our affiliates to further develop our services. We may use information internally across the different services covered by this Privacy Policy to help our product be more relevant and useful for users.

3.3 Service Providers

The service providers we use like for e.g., for maintenance, analysis, audit, payments, fraud detection, marketing and development. They will have access to necessary information to with an obligation to not to disclose or use it for other purposes.

3.4 Legal Disclosures

We may have to share your data as and when it will be required by the law to protect rights and safety of everyone. It could be required to investigate, prevent or take action against suspected or actual illegal activities. It can also be used to protect us against any claims and/or allegations.

3.5 Change in Control or Sale

As part of a sale, merger or acquisition, change in control or during preparation of these events, we may have to share your data, but it must continue to be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

4. Your Choices & Obligations

4.1 Data Retention

For as long as your account is in existence or as needed to serve you, we retain your personal data. This includes data you or others provided to us and data generated or inferred from your use of our product. Even if you only use Connector when looking for a new search at intervals, we will retain your information and keep your profile open until you close your account.

4.2 Rights to Access and Control Your Personal Data

You can access, edit or delete your personal data as and when you want. You can ask us to stop using all or some of your personal data anytime you want by writing to us. We offer you settings to control and manage the personal data we have about you.

4.3 Account Closure

If you choose to close your Connector account, your personal data will generally stop being visible to others on our Services within 12 hours. We generally delete closed account information within 30 days of account closure, except as noted below.
We retain your personal data even after you have closed your account if at all necessary to comply with our legal obligations or to meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our User Agreement, or fulfil your request to unsubscribe from further messages from us. We will retain de-personalized information after your account has been closed. Information you have shared with others will remain visible after you close your account or deleted the information from your own profile or mailbox, messages, chats. We do not control data that other Members copied out of our services.

5. Other Important Information

5.1. Security

Safety measures are taken by us to protect your data. We continuously monitor our security systems for any possible frauds and attacks. However, we cannot warrant security of any information that you provide us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

5.2 Lawful Bases for Processing

We lawfully collect and use your data. Anytime you can withdraw consent you have provided to us by going to settings. Our lawful practice includes consent from you.

5.3. Direct Marketing

We currently do not share personal data with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Later on if at all we would want to do that, it will be through changes in Privacy Policy and your consent on it.

Refund Policy

We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or wrongly judged our service. All payments to Connexus Tech LLP are Nonrefundable for delays/non-delivery of services due to any technical reason. We do not offer any refund of money at any stage or at any condition once the transaction has done. In case, Connexus Tech LLP agreed to refund money it will take 45 days but not more than that from the date of request received by Connexus Tech LLP through E-mail.

Terms and Conditions

1. Connexus Tech LLP also reserves the rights to cancel your account any time without any notice and refund.

2. Changes to the Terms of Service / Acceptable Use Policy/ Privacy Policy Connexus Tech LLP reserves the right to revise its policies at any time without notice.
